It's supposed to mean that the 5th generation is coming. While I won't rule out the possibility of a spinoff series, I believe it to be highly unlikely that this is one.

I just hope the starters are interesting this time around. I'm excluding HG/SS's starters from that since we've already played them once before and we all know they're awesome atleast.
