I just heard that a 36 GB Flash drive was made recently. They're really getting high up there.. and perhaps the rumours that flash drives will replace Harddrives will come true :P

PPC seems to be becoming a game console-only thing, now that Apple is starting to put Intel chips in their computers.
x86 seems to be the way to go.

Oh, definitely a Mac.
Just about every non-Mac notebook I see is ugly and unneccesarily large.

Depends. You need a lot of power? Go for the MacBook Pro. Need the screen real estate? Go for the 17" Powerbook. Want something really tiny? 12" Powerbook. Anything in between, go for an iBook.

If you want to game, or have an interest in software that only runs on Windows go with a Windows based machine. I strongly dislike Apples... They oversimplify everything, but if you believe in the saying (Keep it simple, stupid) they're a good way to go... Or if you want to be able to tweak every facet of your machine, get Linux or some other Unix variant.

There are half a dozen ways to run Windows software on Mac, and there are very few apps that don't have a Mac equivalent (or Linux/Unix which could be easily ported or recompiled), and with Apple computers now using Intel chips, you can dual boot Windows and OS X (and throw a few other OSs in there, Sara will).

So you don't like it because it makes your computing life too easy? You could make it harder by doing everything from the terminal. Completely possible. I sometimes watch ASCII renderings of movies in the terminal. Funny looking.

I don't like things too simple...it makes me dependent on simplicity...then when shit goes down... I forget what i'm supposed to do

Really? What OS do they have on them?

Well, regardless. Those are SCHOOL computers. All school computers take a fair amount of abuse.
