This is the first time they've done it, unless you count the PSP version. Yggdra Unison had a completely different system.
Also, Hexyz Force is actually pretty fun (and definitely not as generic as it looked, gameplay-wise). Well, it is if you can get over the terrible warp puzzle that shows up early in the game, anyway... |
