Actually, because of the position I have to lie in, it's difficult to use my computer at all, let alone for intensive tasks such as programming or applying for jobs - the two things I should really be doing.

I'm almost back to normal already. I don't really have to keep it elevated anymore so I can actually do things while I'm resting it, I can walk short distances slowly on it, and the crutches are becoming easier to use.

HEY SASHA
I saw T50YS last night. I enjoyed it. Afterwards Mark ducked every question regarding House of Leaves, Only Revolutions, T50YS, or anything pertaining to The Familiar. In fact, I think he only answered a single question, but he responded at length to each one.
I think I need to borrow the book from you to get a better grasp of the story, though.

Wife and I have been on a Korean flick kick lately.

The Host - Absolutely awesome monster movie.
Barking Dogs Never Bite - Bizarre and hilarious.
Attack the Gas Station 2 - About as enjoyable as any Hollywood B action comedy.
Castaway on the Moon - Bizarre and hilarious and heartwarming.

I'm forgetting one, but I don't care enough to log on to Netflix to figure it out.

THEN LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE VAMPIRE MOVIES I WATCHED ALONE FOR HALLOWEEN
  • THE HORROR OF DRACULA
Dracula not making a very good movie. Sorry.
  • NEAR DARK
Vampies exploding in the sunlight. Amazing.
  • THE LOST BOYS
I like this more when I'm not a kid. Yep.
  • LONGINUS
Not as bad as expected but kinda pointless. Boring.
  • MOON CHILD
Didn't know what it wanted to do in any aspect, including language spoken. Okay.
  • THE HUNGER
Thought this would be about David Bowie being weird but then surprise lesbians. Weird.
  • THE VAMPIRE LOVERS
I still like this because I still like Ingrid Pitt and I still think Carmilla is the bestest vampire book though inevitably this is very inferior to the book. Lesbians.

Now what? Recommendations for next year's movies?

Krakenmas came early this year. A copy of The Fifty Year Sword, a completely awesome new blanket (wow, I'm an adult now, excited about blankets as gifts), and some other cool nicknacks (like the coolest magnet ever) and things for Odin and Feared Kraken.

I feel kind of disappointed that I couldn't think of/find something better for Feared Kraken. This is his holiday, after all.

Also my left shoulder feels deader than ever and I've never before swept up so much cigarette ash.
