Infamous? I don't really picture you playing that, but it's not bad.
God of War series are really fun too.

Also, you should try Demon's Souls first, since it's PS3 exclusive, cheap, and they're taking it's server down for good next year. If you like it, then go for Dark Souls.

The only games that I've thoroughly enjoyed on the PS3 are Dead Space 1/2 and the Atelier series.

I mean, I enjoyed the first Disgaea, but I hated the second because it felt like the same thing except with slightly more complex levels. And the characters were not as enjoyable.

I hear Heavy Rain was really good, and it's PS3-only. Not ideal if you're not too keen on quicktime events but if psychological thrillers are up your alley it might be worth looking at.

also I turned 21 yesterday, didn't get hammered, and spent the weekend marathoning Borderlands with Hayate. On the downside, I appear to have officially entered adulthood. On the upside, it was a fucking awesome birthday. My sister gave me new footwear and a captioned photobook of cats being adorable, and also annotated my mother's birthday message to me which made it about six times more hilarious.

I actually made it home this year! There is nothing like homemade food and spending time with your family, even though I was studying at the family thanksgiving potluck, it was still a nice break from studying at school
