AS WITH THIS TOPIC: http://leyviur.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2344 post about the best books you read in 2008. They didn't have to come out in 2008, you just needed to have read them. So post!

Probably never? Consider it your birthday gift to me.
I'll probably never get YSKOV! back, either. My friend has it, and she's started three other books since starting it.

Remembering the Kanji by James Heisig.
It's a textbook for people learning Japanese. Definitely not for everyone but I can say for sure it is the best book I read in 2008.

Dune by Frank Herbert and A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin were the two major books that I really really liked that I read during last year, so.

Uh... If that was directed at me, I didn't make a joke. And the comment wasn't supposed to be funny.

I'm just not feeling very talkative.

Dreamsongs I (George R.R. Martin): There were quite a few really good stories, and I like his style.
White Fang (Jack London): I re-read this, actually. It's always nice when people write about animals without anthropomorphizing them.
You Shall Know Our Velocity! (Dave Eggers): Made me realize I love Dave Eggers.

Honorable mentions (Or, books that I wanted to list here but couldn't think of anything to say about them): God Emperor of Dune, Veronika Decides to Die, and Lord of the Flies.

I rather enjoyed Snow Falling on Cedars.

Even if this book didn't have three sex scenes in it, it'd still be awesome. The story was very good.

Can't we just say novels instead of books?

Cause like, I'm a faggot and read more VNs than actual books last year.
