Yggdra Union The Sprite Series, For those who are curious Options

I, Kotlol am making a Flash Project of Yggdra Union that I like to call:
Yggdra Union The Sprite Series (YUTSS for short)

So far I been working on a small reel but I kept messing it up and found out that alot of sprite sheets aint posted anywhere on the internet. So I saw this site during my sprite raid and I was like "OMG! I needed to find this before." I was 1st going to use the Sprites of the GBA, but I found out someone is close to ripping the PSP ones. So I'm like great! I get the best effects and all sprite sheets, even the ones I lack.

I am currently making my 1st flash named: Milanor Introduction.

Ok a summary of the YUTSS is going to be like:
-I would like to keep the line of story intact of the game, but I am changing to storyline here and there to make it just better. (Note: Im open for ideas)
-I am NOT sequaling the game. Thats what I do when I get futher during the series.
-I will do my best to make the flash as great as possible, be sure to contribute your ideas, findings (backgrounds, SFX, Music or custom sprites) here. Please remind that I will judge it since I don't want to end up using sounds from Mortal Kombat in this series. It remains within Normal RPG sounds and Yggdra Union sounds mostly.
-I will have my own voice cast for most charaters. You can join if you have a voice talent for one of the charaters (check my Newgrounds acount to see what roles are taken).
-I will credit Lamira Castle each time in the movie and Special Thank the certain people helping out.
-Please do not rant or complain or say this is a bad idea. This is not the topic to do it.
-I will keep progress of my flashes in this topic, No where else. This is going to be the place to discuss the script and other things of the flash.
-I will never do anything to disgrace the name of Yggdra Union or Riviera or Other Sting games.
-I will not crossover Riviera and Yggdra Union, NOR other games. They won't match.

So far on the list of Projects:
-Needing Kylier, Gulcasa, Imperial Soldier, Skeleton, Golem sprite sheets of GBA to get atleast something started
-Making Charater Introductions: Milanor, Gulcasa, Yggdra, Nessiah, (others may follow if I get good help)
-Scripting Prelogue: (What happened in the castle? Who looted Milanor? How did the Transigem get stolen?)
-Scripting Episode 1: (Who will appear in the 1st episode and how far in the game will it go? What can be skipped? What can be ignored? Wich charater never appears?)


Thats it for so far. I hope you guys are willing to help me out and make Yggdra Union even more awsome!

1.First I support this project.
2.If you are looking for the required sprite that you listed above,please wait for a while I am trying my best finding it.
3.The thing is I don't know how to provide more idea for this one because I afraid it may cause confusion to yggdra fan(but then again if you think you don't have problem with that then..I will think about it)
4.And also...many people had say they want to do this also but......well try take a look at the riviera and yggdra project section.(hey I didn't say you cannot do it ok).So I assume most member doesn't have any trust in this one(I think or maybe they didn't notice this).
5.Well overall try to post some screenshot of the flash so that more people will be confident of this project.

And dont worry I will work with the sprites I have for now. (though it really cuts off alot of cool ideas for now.)
I will make a screen shot or a flash demo sooner or later. And dont worry about getting it sucky. I know alot of awsome flash artists who can help me out with tips.

Go here for sprite sheets. You need more than just what's there though - please post updated (shorter) list.

Archeia (forum member) has a Nessiah sprite sheet - ask them for permission to use.

As for the other questions in your initial post:
Did you play the game? There's your answer right there.

I have that sprite sheet arleady and yes I played the game. Just not the PSP version for lacking both a PSP and the game what aint out in Europue yet.

Anyway I don't want to ruin the series and I also want to change things like Rosary or Roswell dieing. Make it more interresting. Ill post my script ideas and I hope others will add soon.

1st Episode (not going to make soon since I lack important sprites for now):
Is going to cover the start of the game to where Durant joins. Of course I am going to skip a few battle fields.

Prologue:
Is going to cover events before the game like the Transigem (hope I spelled it good) and what happened in the castle sorta or less in my way.

I will put complete scripts up after making the small introduction flashes to see what you guys like of my ideas ok?

Update: Currenlty going ok with the sprite demo reel. It will be a part of Newground's Sprite A week.

I just need a voice clip of a girl (or yggdra) saying Crusade. The other Audio's are already supported by me.
The only delay Im getting is from the Fencer sprite who doesnt like to stay on its space and jumps around from its spot while standing still.

(Note: Make sure the girl's voice is saying Crusade abit gigglish. Since its in the middle of a battle and she does it as a joke, you can also add other audio clips though after it like, Hehe I won or Hehe I think I overdid it.)

Didnt expect anytihng to happen.

But some sprites can be handy.

I been a super critic on myself and got so much frustrated I never finished my demo.
Yea, call me a french stereotype of art.

I'm taking some lessons now so I hope to finish a demo in 2009 start atleast.

Idea's are welcome as well. Just I been in the worst moods ever wich delays my work more....

Small Update:

I have conviced another Sprite Artist to use the sprites in a movie. He promises it will be great. (Thus I believe him since he knows how to make good flashes). When the flash comes out I will put a link to it to see what you people think. If anyone is familiar on Newgrounds. His name is Nichols Deary.

I will keep you informed.
(And he has atleast the patience and knowledge to avoid frustrations.)
