I can understand why Lina would lie, but I don't get why a game would say something like that and NEVER bring it up ever again. That is, unless they wanted everyone to believe it. And that is why I do believe it.

There is a reason that claims made on wikipedia require citations. The wikipedia article for Riviera cites a line directly from the game where Lina says she's older. Then there's the intro drama where it's repeated again. Probably in one of the later dramas as well.
