I'm a couple months late to this thread, but oh well.

Death Note is probably my favourite manga. :D I'm only up to volume nine so far, but I've loved what I've read. My favourite part so far was

Wow, you read the last volume back in March? I read it... Ummm... Maybe last month. ._.;

I thought the series was very... Interesting and unique. For one thing, it took me over an hour to read one volume. That's a lot when compared to maybe 20 minutes to read a Tsubasha volume. Also, whenever I read a manga series, it's because I love the art, and the story was nice. Well, I wasn't in love with the art, but gosh, what a story. My slow brain had a tough time keeping up. @_@

The ending didn't surprise me too much, because you could see it coming... kind of. But I wasn't sure how it would finally play out when all the cards came down. The last volume was ultra intense.
