Just a quick storyline thing, does Mizer ever actually die? Or does he keep running away? I have trouble fully depleting his moral before he skips town so I've never actually gotten a 'Slain' banner, but has anyone else seen one?

I don't believe he ever dies, in the last encounter with him he says (if I recall)"
"If I choose between my paycheck or my life, I choose my life!"
And he withdraws from the map and never appears again. Even if you deplete his morale, he simply retreats.

"Do you see anything? It seems to me I am trying to tell you a dream - making a vain attempt, beceause no relation of a dream can convey the dream sensation, that commingling of absurdity, surprise, and bewilderment in a tremor of struggling revolt, that notion of being captured by the incredible which is the very essence of dreams...."

Yep. Mizer is smart and runs away so that he will live to look back on the matter and laugh about it once the war is over.

Retreating in front of a superior force is not cowardice - it's a rare condition known as 'common sense'. And having an escape route? That's having the wisdom to pick your fights well. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day.

Well, to be heroic, you must be what-we-call-it a bit crazy or psycho like:

1.The Alamo
2.Anyone remembers Alexander fought with the Persian king? I forget the battle...
3.Battle of the bulge(In this case,not surrender)

And I mean if you fight with a superior force, you can win with good strategy and some high will. Quantity doesn't decide whether you win or lose in battle. It's the strategy, who good at some terrains and sometimes luck. Like this:

1.Napoleon defeated by the Russians because he attacked the Russians when it was nearing the winter and his troops never taste the russian deadly winter while the Russians were already adapted to fight in winter. The Russians also burned down all the warehouses that stored all the food.

2.The Vietnam War: The vietnams won the war because they have extensive networks of tunnels. Tunnels+Ambush=Good!!

Err, I think I forget some of the battles already....

Mizer always a coward boo!! Bounty Hunters always retreat when they saw that they have no more chance to capture/kill the one that have a bounty on his/her head.

But I think future warfare will be more cowardice cause humans use cyborgs and robots to fight each other...Hahaha...Hah! More bloodier and collateral damage everywhere....This sucks. I HATE true wars but games? Hmm, I think about that...

Also, the crazier you are in the battle and WIN,the higher the reputation you get but if you LOSE, heh...your name gonna enter the 10 most stupidest person....Thanks

Mizer did not have superior forces. It was just him and a flunky thing against the Royal Liberation Army.

My point exactly, Sauce. By sandpenguin's own admission him hanging around would be a suicide mission.

And of course bounty hunters retreat when they don't have a shot at their target. They're paid to bring in one person, not to take on entire jihad-driven armies with far inferior numbers and typically very little tactical advantage.

Hahaha....I won't become a guy who popped up somebody asses (OOpps, sorry) without any reason at all. Some of the guys that you saw on t.v were morons for becoming an extremist....

But, if I become a general in Yggdra Union, I probably become a crazy general ordering his troops to divide by three groups then two of them flanking the enemy while the primary one with me the leader will attack the center....(I do this on my fanfic with my own fictional characters though...) I'm a bit nationalistic guy and I will rather die retaking my own country than making a 5 cent face in front of the enemy. Who cares? Not all human have the same thinking you know...And that's what I call Jihad/Crusade/Sacrifice/Blabla....

Hmm, do you think Mizer was a vagabond? He never tell us where he lives right?
Mizer buy shoes whenever he get his paycheck.....I prefer wearing sandals (Ooooh I'm such a crap) than wearing fancy looking shoes to school or whatever place in this world....

It's people like you who get sent to the frontlines in warfare.

And my guess is that Mizer is a random guy hired by the Bronquian Empire to bring in Yggdra. Since he fails every time, I assume he had all those shoes beforehand. He might have had a flawless record before Yggdra.

I see that you has been promoted eh Sauce? Congratulations!
Medal Of Honour? Nah, who cares about that stuff....Like this:

3 brave guys destroyed a barrack, (can ya do that?)but only one guy can get the medal and the two others purple heart if I'm not mistaken. Better people see your heroic deeds rather than showing off your medals.....Hahaha.
