There are half a dozen ways to run Windows software on Mac, and there are very few apps that don't have a Mac equivalent (or Linux/Unix which could be easily ported or recompiled), and with Apple computers now using Intel chips, you can dual boot Windows and OS X (and throw a few other OSs in there, Sara will).

So you don't like it because it makes your computing life too easy? You could make it harder by doing everything from the terminal. Completely possible. I sometimes watch ASCII renderings of movies in the terminal. Funny looking.
