So far, no one I've ever talked to has been able to figure out if there's something that affects the Mjollnir/Mjollnil side quest, so let's take a poll of what we got and discuss what we did, and see if we can figure out if there IS something or if it's just completely randomized.

as to the poll...I got neither. I only got the Lost Meterial.

I've only gotten the 'nil the last like 3 playthroughs I've done with it... I'm not sure what to do. I haven't had units die once and so on... It's annoying

Right now, off the top of my head, the only thing I can think of that I did differently between the first try (when I got Mjollnir) and the second (where I got Mjollnil) was that the first time I had Roswell and the second I had Rosary.

And there is no way it could be that simple, right?

It could be a matter of Milanor's morale or REP or something...

Or it might be pure luck. No one knows until someone bothers testing it.

Maybe to get Mjolnir you must:

1.Never die in a battle for whole PLAYTHROUGH,
2.Full REP for all units,
3.All units MUST reach a specific Levels
4.Use only a small amount of morale-recovery items(Uber)
5.Gets all characters.

Even if you get all the requirements,maybe it is purely LUCK,like slot machine. A-A-Z ,bad.

Damn,after 3 PLAYTHROUGHS, I always get M-J-O-L-N-I-L-!
The word 'NIL' really sucks for me...Maybe no luck. (Cant use fortune even 6LUK)

What have people tried?
Will replaying BF42 give you a different one each time?

And- You can die and still get Mjolnir. On my playthrough I chose Roswell. And several of my characters died (Were defeated) several times.

All units must reach specific levels - On my playthrough I didn't use Russell (Yggdra is a great sword unit - Why do you need Russell - But that is a different thread) - and still got Mjolnir. I left Russell at level 11 - I think I gave him one level and that's it.

Number of morale recovery items - Well at BF43 I had 20+ medallions. This could be it. I'll test it later. I still want the answer - Does replaying BF42 switch the item you get?

Well if you dont believe me I can send some screens

But I finished the game with just the defeats against Bronquia's Shield (With Durant at level 18 he lasted enough turns alife to not to die and buy time to Elena and Milanor to arrive to the floodgates.

I finished the game with 50 Medallions (Never used 1) and a lot of items gathered in a row.

I was level 16 Milanor 17 Durant 10 Yggdra (lol, yes for me it's asucky maiden. Milanor and Durant is all I need to beat all scenaries) Plus Some cards powered like Steal 9999 Gravity Chaos 8000 and Shield Barrier 5000 and ace guard 4000) And Still got Mjollnil.

In Batle field 42 I was 19 / 19 / 11 Perfect status, Never defeated with zero reset, never retried, and still got mjollnil.

By the way my rep was At maximum with all characters either in map 32 or 42 when I got the item ####### and I still got mjollnil.

We should think about other triggers...'cause it's clear for me these don't affect.

PD: Neither affects if Gulcasa ever defeats you cause I never lost against him, Gulcasa Sucks a lot D:! Even my firts time when I only used Milanor I defeated all times when protect status using all my cards to raise lots of levels with him...3 vs 1 in Genocide mode and still won ;D

Hey icewave, You also use Durant eh,same as me. My Durant also survive the Bronquias Shield by himself but only 300 morale left.

Anyway,that was just my thinking,not from any source.

Hmmm....Yggdra sucks.Stupid maiden killing her own sisters.Just level 15 at last battlefield.Use Durant,Niet(Forget) and Milanor only(19-20 lev).Durant Rocks!!(Knight rocks esp Dragon)Why there is no Behemoth?!?

Return to topic,maybe:

1.Skull(Cursed one)
2.Argh..All unit full Luk maybe?(Very hard for Durant,DANG,2-3 LUK at level 15?!?!?!)
3.Never use a thing...(IMPOSSIBLE)
4.Pure Luck(Your Luck)
5.RIGGED (NO WAY)
6.Ask anyone...
7.All unit morale must more than a specific value??(50 percent up.....)
8.You can get Mjolnir-Wikipedia,ehh silly joke.
9.Stupid idea-Fortune!!! Errr...

As I said,it is probably like slot machine.H-I-T Or D-A-N-G.Your Luck or....

11.FASTEST TIME OR TURN TO CLEAR A BATTLEFIELD(Combine)-That's my last idea,sorry
12.No Rep-Yep low rep or ZERO,So the developers PITY you and give you Mjolnir.
