What was the most frustrating part of the game for you? (I need someone to relate to about these freaking button-pressing events asdkfja)

I just started the PSP version (after playing the GBA game through twice) and I'm up to halfway through Lacrima Castle.

It's always Lina wants this! Excel, go get that!

Do you know how many times I attempted to catch this stupid bat? >:|

Rock-skipping. Not because it was really all that hard (it was just a bunch of timing ones, right?) but because it just kept GOING and I eventually lost my patience. :(

And wow, you said Excel instead of Ecthel. We should be friends.

I'm making friends already ★

His name is Excel, I refuse this "Ecthel" silliness 8| Last time I checked Sprites did not have lisps.

I agree! Plus, Ecthel sounds silly and Excel fits with Excellion.

rofl "Einherjar" is about the silliest name for a sword ever.

I know a lot of this is probably based on Norse mythology (or so my friend claims-- Norse mythos does tend to get a lot of attention in games these days, though thankfully some like Riviera are MUCH better than Norse games like Too Human.)

I feel cool because someone important is interested in my post |D

Rhia isn't important, silly.

The most frustrating part for me was a battle everyone else had an easy time with: Isher. I've only S-Ranked him once, and I had to reload a save five times to do it. I'm probably just really unlu-GUARD GUARD MISS GUARD GUARD GUARD GUARD MISS MISS GUARD

I guess another frustrating part would be managing my inventory. Sometimes I'd get something that someone can skill up off of, or something really useful, but I'd already have a full inventory of things I thought were useful.

There were times where I'd just sit staring at my inventory for 40 minutes trying to figure out what I should discard.

OH GOD YES

I SAVED THINGS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME JUST SO CIERRA COULD SKILL UP OFF OF THEM. AND EVERY TIME I GOT SOMETHING USELESS IT WAS LIKE NO LINA CAN LEARN SOME WORTHLESS FRUIT-BASED SKILL OFF OF IT

I tried to save a slot for something useless in my inventory at all times precisely for Lina's ridiculously stupid food skills. That lasted for like five minutes. XP

I hate the timing sequences--the ones with the bar and the little white spot that you have to make the arrow stop in. I can never do those except maybe once in a blue moon. There was this one part in the ruins where you can either have Serene or Lina get an applecot in a tree and because I am a bloody perfectionist was trying to get Lina's ending, I tried having her shoot it down. GRAGH.

Also the chests with roulettes ticked me off because I'd see an item I could skill up with in there, and I'd never get it and have to reload like fifty times--only to suck at the rest of the level or something else stupid.

Isher is a royal freaking pain in the arse.

The most frustrating thing? S-Ranking the Gate Guardian battle. The one in chapter 2 with the knight and mage. Not only that, trying to kill the mage LAST to get the book.

I had trouble with the battles (in general).
In the last chapter, I retried like a million times. I didn't know there was a reward for winning without retrying. It took like four retries to beat the final boss.

RE: Isher. I thought he was pretty easy. You can miss/block twice before losing the S rank, so don't give up before that.

I simply cannot get the second bath scene in the PSP version. Pressing O 27 times in 3 seconds is really annoying.

Learn your Norse mythology and it'll make [some] sense.

Anyway, I totally agree with you guys on the rock skipping, inventory, and Isher. Rock skipping especially. I did that for like an hour and nothing happened, so I just quit. T.T

(Btw nice to meet you Seth-rah)
