Can you prove it was Ursula that removed his barrier? Ursula returns the Einherjar's power, and suddenly the barrier is gone; Isher keeps going on and on asking why Ein won't use the Diviner. Nothing concrete, but the circumstantial evidence outweighs anything you've given; you've given nothing.

So we need more detailed information from the game. Even if you attack Isher with the diviner, nothing happens until Ursula returns the weapon's power and maybe removes his barrier. We lack information here.

The reason the Diviner wouldn't work on Isher before its powers were returned was because of this. It can be inferred that the powers Ursula took from Einherjar is what separates a Diviner from a normal weapon. Hence at the time, all your people were using were normal weapons and a broken Diviner (broken as power-broken, not physically broken), of course they're not going to do any damage to Isher. Then Ursula comes along and puts the powers back in the Diviner, and suddenly the Diviner becomes an Angelic weapon, not a normal weapon, thus making it able to penetrate Isher's A.S. shield.

You're forgetting that Isher has invinciblity to physical attacks only. However, it might've had an A.S. shield while Einherjar's power was held in check by Ursula's hand.
