Lina can use Scythes and Books, something Axes are weak to. Lina is the stronger in this case too. The characters of Riviera are clearly the stronger of the two games, from story and gameplay, the only playable character from YU that could stand up to a Riviera character would probably be Yggdra, who could probably take down all Riviera characters aside from Ein, Ledah and Malice without too much difficulty.

In a Yggdra Union style system, Lina can only use one kind of weapon and she is limited only to one class. If we compare Mizer's skills to Lina's skills, then surely Milanor would win a battle against Lina. Even if she equiped a class changing item, like Durant, Milanor would steal it.
I'm starting to think that it's impossible to compare the gameplay from both games. The only proof that Ein is stronger than Milanor is because of the plot, not because of his skills or anything else.

If you're going to compare purely based on Yggdra Union's gameplay, then Ein, Fia, Cierra and Serene can all defeat Milanor with their default weapons (sword, sword, staff and scythe). But you can't, because Riviera characters are not in YU; meaning you have to compare gameplay, too. Riviera characters can use multiple weapons, YU characters cannot.

What is the point in restating that? The terms you used to prove that the first time are the terms I used to prove the other characters would defeat Milanor.

Constantly bringing up the whole Lina vs. Milanor thing is irrelevent, since the initial topic only concerns Ein and Milanor.

Besides, Lina has multiple weapon proficiencies. Milanor does not.

I'm using a 1 x 1 argument. I'm trying to make the characters fight with similar gameplay systems, not with their own game system. That's why I'm saying that it's impossible to compare who is stronger by the gameplay! In a fight between the two games, it would be logical that ANY character in YU would defeat Lina, Fia, Cierra, anyone. Only because they have 6 people fighting against only ONE person.
I started this discussion because Sturm said Ein is stronger than Milanor because Ein can defeat an archangel and Milanor can't. Even Lina, who is not a super-powerful angel, can damage the archangel IN RIVIERA because she don't have the A.S. Shield.

Milanor is incredibly powerful. For a human. Ein is incredibly powerful. For an angel.

And, not using Marietta because that's so overused, without equipping items on him, crossing fingers, and relying upon his terrain bonus, whenever I put Milanor up against Nessiah chances are he gets slaughtered.

The only time that has not happened (with Milanor at level 19-20) was when I equipped him with Mjollnir.

If Milanor has difficulty beating Nessiah, a fallen angel, then crossing games, I doubt there's any chance he'd have much luck with Ein, a Grim Angel at the height of his powers.

And yes. I know my Milanor sucks.

By the way, why are Milanor and Ein fighting anyway?
