You said "trade... to". You don't trade the battle bats to anybody. You trade the Key Item wings to a fairy.

IIRC, credits go to Feral Phoenix for Fiaa's icon and ChefMKT for the Lyuri scan.

That's not what I recall.
But it doesn't matter if I'm wrong on that point; you still have to trade items from your inventory for some items.

I don't count key items as "inventory".

Staves and Swords are key items, now?

We're not in the same conversation. I thought we were still talking about bats.

We're not. Which is why I said "it doesn't matter if I'm wrong on that point."

So it was the Skull Stone was it? I thought it was the Dark Matter, thanks for clearing that up for me.

Also, on the items that require a total REP of a certain amount, there are different items you get if your REP is below that number as well. Can you get one item and then if your REP changes during the battle obtain the other item? Or do you have to make another playthrough to get the different item?

Does it also depend on what NPC house thingy you stand on?

Ex. Some houses only have one item, and if you don't meet the REP requirement, you don't get it. Other houses have two items, where if you don't meet the REP requirement for one, you get the other item.

No.
What I mean when I say it depends on the situation is just that; it depends on the situation. Sometimes you can get both items, sometimes you can only get one.

Sounds kinds pointless to only allow it sometimes, but oh well. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Why? You think it should be possible to trade a particular item twice?

Is that what you meant by "sometimes"?
