Surprisingly, yes.

Aero, it's basically about a guy who's a vampire who falls in love with a regular girl. But while the vampires have lived peacefully among humans for like, ever, some want to kill us or whatever and the vampire guy must fight one of his own to save the girl.

See? Cliche.

It's a sub-human, forbidden love story aimed at young girls. What the hell do you expect?

I'm reading "The Stars My Destination". Found it in some sci-fi compilation in a my dusty bookshelf. It's a fucking gold mine. Anyway, this is like, my perfect book. Anyone else read it?

I want to pick up something very heavy.
no not weight wise, more thought-heavy.

Either that or reread JPod or Illium/Olympos

Anyone got suggestions?

Ada or Ardor, by Vladimir Harkonnen--I mean Nabokov.

I'm finding it more entertaining than I found it when I read the first 100 pages at school out of boredom.

The play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead".

YES.

Tom Stoppard is brilliant. We were watching this play in English class this week, and it's not only hilarious but has a lot of deeper meanings to it. The overall message is a tad depressing though, if you're an optimist (or an idealist, like me). Although it is a perfect theme for the world of Hamlet.

For english Creative Writing we have to pick a novel we've never read, to read.
I have a list of novels I think I should read.

The Kite Runner (read to pg 49 for about an hour)
In Search of Lost Time
Lolita
A Tale of Two cities
Eleanor Rigby
Illium/Olympos (I've read them both but not quite thoroughly)
A Feast for Crows + A Storm of Swords (going to pick it back up anyway)
Green Eggs and Ham.
Moby Dick
A 'For Dummies' book

suggestions?

EDIT: bleh, yes Olympos, I was tired

I can vouch for the quality of these four/five books.

Recently finished 1984 for my literature class, so I get to return to A Clash of Kings, which I'm nearing the end in.

The Illiad and the Odyssey are not novels. Did you mean: Ilium/olympos
The For Dummies books are novel, but not novels.

Go read Green Eggs and Ham. Or The Butter Battle Book.
