Well, anything is possible with magic ya know. And do we know if there are actually any feathers? They're probably just a cool special effect that we get to see but they may not actually exist...

Maybe the addition of the green feathers is like what they did with the Simpsons. The creator only made them yellow because he said he wanted to get people to change the color tracking on their TVs, in an attempt to get the "flesh" color. So maybe they're trying to mess with us. >>

Ein traded his wings for Einherjar, so that means that the essence of his wings kind of is in Einherjar - and when he uses his weapon's ultimate attack, maybe the power of his wings comes through and causes the feathers to appear?
