PLANNING Options

This thread is a sort of project planning thread for a story that Rhia, Yuka, and I, want to write. We don't really mind any contributions at all, as long as they're not completely stupid, and you're actually serious about this.

So far, a basic sort of storyline we have is centered around the thoughts of a person, thus far unnamed and of an undecided gender, in something that will either be stasislike, or catatonic at least. Each chapter will be based from a different viewpoint from within his own thoughts ( what basis these characters have is undecided ), and each will have their own individual illusionary worlds. How/if these will interact at all is yet to be decided.
The actual contents of the plot haven't quite been decided, but a complication I have suggested is based around the choice of either 2 groups of ( name most likely to be changed ) organizations, one called the Know Nothings, and the others the Unknowns. Alternate ending scenario is likely, as this plan was directed to have an ending in which the protagonist dies a false hero in his fabricated fantasy, never waking up again if he chose the Know Nothings. However, if the protagonist chooses the Unknowns, he commits acts that destroy who he is and what he stands for in his fantasy, but allow him to reach reality. Upon waking up and looking outside, he sees the real world and decides that he prefers his fantasy, and reverts to it. However, due to what he did to attain knowledge, he is rejected and WE HAVEN'T DECIDED ON THIS PART YET


Other possibilities include mental capacities that are stored "somewhere" with other ones, which may add multiple people's thoughts into the equation, but all aspects of particular personalities exist within individual illusions.

We want at least one Steampunk Dysotopian setting.

O.K SO SUMMARY OF IRC CHAT SO FAR


WE DECIDED TO STICK WITH A SINGLE CHARACTER WITH THE PERSONALITIES ALL SPLIT. CHARACTER IS MALE WITH SOME FEMALEISH ASPECTS WE HAVE NOT DECIDED ON. NO NAME.

CURRENTLY WE HAVE:

A SELF CONSCIOUS PERSONA
AN EXTREMELY RELIGIOUS AND INTOLERANT PERSONA
A SEXUALLY REPRESSED PERSONA
A COMPLETE JERK OF A PERSONA ( SELFISH )

WE HAVE DECIDED THAT THE INTOLERANT ONE IS KILLED BY AT LEAST ONE OF THE OTHERS, BUT IT IS UNKNOWN WHO. WE HAVE AN IDEA FOR AN UNDECIDED BEING THAT GROWS UP AS THE STORY PROGRESSES, AND WE WANT TO HAVE SPLIT CHAPTERS WHERE HIS ENTIRE THOUGHTS ARE RECOLLECTED ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING AND HIS THOUGHTS ON LIFE, WITH GRADUAL PROGRESSION IN DEVELOPMENT IN ANALYTICAL ABILITY.


Something we haven't quite figured on how to tie in yet is his fear of being alone. Which we want to make an ironic tragedy, because the only solace he find is being alone inside himself.

I have some new persona ideas:

1) A negitive persona. One that has no hope and/or faith.
2) The oppiste of the first. A level headed persona with hope for a solution.
3) A manic or insane persona.
