I can't seem to find any anime series that interests me more than Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya did. Any suggestions?

What are the right expectations?

I went into it without any expectations. The animation makes it feel very childish and messy, but it's quite the opposite.It's very mature and bores into situations that i think many people deal with everyday. Very real, in a sense, at least with some of the issues that certain characters deal with. i think its very intelligent actually but its also really funny. ^_^ It's great! Maybe that's a little too much explanation... oh well.
