That said, while I consider most of Blaze Union' character art downright ugly, this seems to be the fault of the very cheap and irritating colouring. Taking a look at the black and white sketches the designs themselves are actually not bad at all. Except for that cowboy girl, she just looks like a stripper.

Also, that kind of happened with RiviWSC. BUT YOU CANNOT TELL ME THAT THE GENERIC KNIGHTS IN BLAZE UNION AREN'T JUST HORRIBLY DRAWN. YOU CANNOT.

But I've always known the art was sometimes good. I never could get over how awesome the genericland Undines looked in BU.

Oh god the knights blarg
But yeah, a lot of the things which you think look really bad in BU look much better without colour—the same pieces of art and poses even. It's just that the colouring is really cheap and shoddy, the shading distorts shapes and proportions, everyone has overly emphasised lips and shiny eyes, and it all looks more like something out of a really cheap hentai game.

I might be in the minority, but I liked how they look in BU just saying xD.

Also. Favourite part of GU for me is when Garlot transforms into Gulcasa and you get access to Genocide. GENOCIDE FOR EVERYONE!! MWUAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

....Yes, I'm in heaven right now. YOU CAN'T STOP ME FROM KILLING ALL OF YOUR UNITS!! *Genocides everybody.* ...I'm happy ^^.
