Clearly I haven't been really keeping up with all the DS games that have been popping up. I'm planning to get one some time next week (it's going to be mainly my sister's) so I need a list of games; one for me, one for my sister.

I prefer action, RPGs, puzzle, platformers, adventure, shmups, strategy.
My sister is more of a casual gamer, but she likes racing, puzzle (Tetris, puyo etc.), rhythm ...and games based on movies she likes such as Harry Potter and High School Musical. Well, I'm pretty sure I have the last genre covered, fire away.

If you play Polarium expect to get bored really quickly.

Anyway you know my suggestions. I can vouch for FFTA2, Covenant Plume, Meteos and Phantom Hourglass.

AND MARIO KART DS

The World Ends With You is good. It does require a bit of multi-tasking but it has a really good story line and pretty unique gameplay. If you like Pokémon then you'll probably like the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series--it's a Pokémon dungeon crawler but played on a grid. Then there's always Golden Sun DS to look forward to.

There are probably other ones but I can't think of any right now.

Let's see... In no particular order....

Strategy:
Luminous Arc 2 (It's better than the first one)
SMT: Devil Survivor
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (If you played the first one, this one is a huge dissapointment in comparison, but it's still ok)
Knights in the Nightmare (Of course!)

Action/RPG:
Legacy of Ys: Books I&II
The World Ends with You

Shoot-em-up:
Metroid Prime Hunters

This is just an opinion and should be left to the other to decide for themselves.

Actually, popular opinion is that the first one is an embarrassment to the original FFT.

And so is FFTA2

The only FF game that had multiple races that I didn't despise with every fiber of my being was FF9.

Also

HENRY HATSWORTH AND THE PUZZLING ADVENTURE FOR BALLS TO THE WALL ACTION WITH A BRITISH MAN BEING BRITISH. Very hard megaman X esque platformer, made from EA's sports division of all places.
