Since the item description (both in game and on LCN) state nothing that even resembles what its use is, what do you use this thing for?

Yes.

Collecting?
There might actually be a scene for it somewhere. Start going to the houses.

I've always wondered what it was for, too, but I could never find who you're supposed to give it to.

That is one of the mysteries of that game. I'm in the process of finding a use for it. I've gone to every home and village for 10 BF after you obtain it, and nothing yet*__*

Maybe it's just the same thing as for the sealed purse : just here for the sake of the item list.

I mean, there are useless items you need to get to complete the list. Like the blunt sword : no point to have it except to fill a spot in the list.

Well you can equip the Sealed Purse on Roswell... Right? It says so in the Manual. Although it doesn't DO anything but. Well. Yeah...

Even though the Blunt Sword is BAD, it's not 'useless'. It's just not 'useful' either. XD But the Letter seems to be useless, no one recovers Morale from it or anything...

But no one can equip the letter.

How do you get the sealed purse, anyway? O_o;; Are you supposed to move Roswell to the bandit village in that BF or something? I'm trying to imagine a scene in which you obtain that, and can't figure out how else a purse would wind up sealed than your character or some NPC sealing it there...

...The purse isn't even on that battlefield. It's on the mountain BF with the fog.

You can only get it when the fog arrives. Check the guide for the spot. Using Roswell to get it is a good idea, since that way, he can use warp after getting the purse to avoid wasting movement points.

As for why is it here... Mmm... The bandits found it, couldn't open it and just threw it away? And the purse belonged to someone who used magic so that no one else than him can open it?

Random random.

I still wish we knew what the letter is for.

Why do you always assume it has something to do with magic? It can't be locked normally?

...If it was locked normally, wouldn't the bandits have picked or broke the lock?
