Is there REALLY any reason to keep Gordon alive when Gulcasa attacks the Church? I mean, I always try too, but last time I tried Kylier got killed when I beat Gulcasa in the same Union. *Shakes fist*

So yeah. Any reason to keep Gordon alive? Or should I just have him buy me a few turns until Gulcasa loses High/Protect them pummel him?

Just some dialogue. Pointless dialogue. A little more resolution for Welheim.

I always found the few extra turns vital to beating BF32, as that was utter hell for me. Don't know if that's the case for you however.

I dunno. I've always saved Gordon in the past, but it's never caused too much of a problem for me in trying to beat the BF; in fact I find it beneficial to have him around, since I can swap him in and out of Unions for units who've just taken a pummeling. I fill his Morale up, leave him out of the first fight, and then have him haul ass back to the church, make my formation there, wait until Gulcasa's troops arrive, and pummel them when they get there. :D It usually takes them a while to get everyone up to fight me, so it doesn't make much difference.

If all else fails, I recommend cheating. :D In other words, purposely throwing the first part of the BF by wasting cards, just to lower enemy stats in the second part. |D The added experience is worth it if you go out of your way to kill all of Juvelon and Mardym's units in the first part.

Sooo keeping him alive just earns me some extra text? No spiffy item or anything? Wow. I guess I'll now refer to Gordon as "human shield."

"I'd feel a LOT safer if YOU crossed that bridge to Gulcasa human shield! ;D"

And I could've used Retry, but I'm trying to get the No Retry-exclusive items for once. D:

BF32 was one of those few battles I was trying so hard NOT to retry on, and I only beat it in the Japanese version because of save states. Freaking hell of a battle to do.

I always thought sticking Gordon in there was kind of pointless. Especially since other "come-and-go" characters like Kylier atleast have a point to the story. I mean, with Gordon, its just like "Oh look, you're here. Lemme come with you to retake this castle church thing. *captures it* Oh look. Gulcasa. *defends* OKAY I'm staying here bye now get off my doorstep".

Someone wasn't paying attention to the story.

The Excalibur and stuff like that, I wanna fill in those in my Item Manual. I'm never going to fill it up though (So not worth killing Rosary to fill it up...)

If you retry, you miss out on three of the most powerful items in the game; the Southern Cross, Excalibur and the Element Rod.

Although too bad for me I can't get the Elemental Rod, that's something you can only get if you got Roswell. Stupid Drowsing Rods *mumbles*

Anyway, this is kinda veering off-topic isn't it? <.< We now all know Gordon is just a sack of meat on a horse.
