Then I'll ask you back. What size? From what website? What genre of files? Which client?

Its not just the type of torrent client you have, but it also depends on how many other torrent users are available to seed/leech with your client on the torrent file your trying to extract, the more users/computers available, the faster the downloading.

It really depends. For like a new popular episode of an anime on my DSL takes about half an hour.

An episode can take about half an hour or more, depending on the health (peers and seeders) of the torrent. Torrent batches may take up to 1 hour to even three days to complete, depending on the size.

For instance, a torrent batch of 26 episodes is about 5 GB. THAT will probably take about 20 hours or more with a speed 40kB/s. Sometimes I get 100kB/s and it just takes me about 10 hours or less complete. Or my download rate suffers and I get 20kB/s, which will probably take over 30 hours to complete. But the rate of my download is always changing. It can be 40kB/s to 50kB/s to 5kB/s in a few minutes.

It all really depends on the torrent, see?

Oh, yeah. The more you upload, the more you download. You can't download anymore when you already completed the file, obviously.

I used to belong to www.bitmetv.com but they disable your account if you don't visit for a month or so.

I got an ep of the Daily Show in 2 minutes (About 175MB). If there are enough uploaders, it will saturate your connection. The fastest I can DL something is 500kb/sec.
