Yggdra Union Ripping Project Options

I talked to a friend of mine and he found out an interesting tool that helped us ripped through emulator games through OpenGL. The interesting part is that, the item doesn't need to be on the map or screen or that level. We still managed to get access to the parts. Here's some we gathered:

I was unsure of if I should take over his suggestion and steps or if the YU Ripping Project from Dr. Sturm is still ongoing.

I did some crap with Fire Emblem hacking a while back, so I know my way around a rom. Should I take a peek and list off offsets? What tool are you using, and do you know how it works?
