He's awesome.
Major works: -A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius (author) -You Shall Know Our Velocity (author) -McSweeney's (founder, editor, columnist) -Where the Wild Things Are (screenplay) He's also done other awesome stuff. Totally bomb. ~~~ Dept. Heaven may be unnoticed, but it has very few haters as a result.

It seemed more mainstream/normal/whatever than other stuff I've read from him though, stylistically and all that. A moon colony. Maybe just a bridge. I don't know. But the walking around, sitting, eating at tables... It doesn't work. We need something else. —What do you want to build? I sort of want to just post the whole chapter that's from since I love the whole thing and there are better things to quote from it but then people would have already read a whole chapter when they actually read the book and they'll be like "oh." ~~~  |
