Is there anything in Riviera that could have been done without?

Do you find there was something that was not necessary in the games? or is it good/perfect as is?

Or were there areas that could have been expanded (or could be expanded) upon?

Add "Animation Skip" feature. Unless it's already in there and I didn't know about it. With the feature turned on, it would just show numbers & status effects when you select an item by pressing A.

I guess the game could use more multimedia, but it didn't really need it. There were enough CGs in the GBA version I played. They added some more for the PSP version, but they weren't really necessary.

It would be cool if they found a way to show both wait and HP at the same time. There's like no space on the GBA screen so I don't think it would be possible.

I think the game could of done without the Elendia segments. They should still have kept the bath scene one though :-).

I was planning to make a topic: "What would you change about Riviera to make it suck?"

"OH HEY LET'S TAKE A BATH IN THIS CEMETARY NOTHING BAD WILL HAPPEN RIGHT?"

And yes, I know what you meant when you said that. It's just this is what popped into my head.

Rasler, you are horrible. :(

Also the only thing I'd like is a way to speed up the practise battles. Like skipping the animations like jcdietz03 said or something like that. Otherwise, the game is perfect.

EDIT: This post contained "like" 4 times in total. Err, 5 now.

One thing that always bothers me when I play is the lack of "turning off" the tutorial in the beginning of the game. Though it isn't much, It's always annoying when you don't want to use the poition and they force you to (they, as in Rothe and Ledah).

Oh yes, an off-animation button would be nice too

What? What good were they for other then killing bats and bee hives? If you count that really long thing where you skipped it, It's rather useless.

I think Ein was addicted to rocks...

maybe it's rock-sugar?
(oh wait, he skipped one over the water...)

In addition I didn't like "having" to use Ein's Overskill in the 'tutorial,' It gets annoying the 4th time around.

And I'd like two of like items together, have a 1-Rosier and a 5-rosier taking up 2 spots get's annoying

I completely agree. I wish that you could combine the 2 weapons uses. Instead of having a Iron Sword with 20 AND 23, why not have it with 43?

Hust curious, would it ruin the game if there were some sort of storage area to keep extra items?
(Or the abillity to return to Elendia for free bread?)

or some sort of Arena option, to use a saved file and do battle with previously fought enemies and bosses (something like Kingdom Hearts' Colisseum; where you could pick which enemies you can fight).
Without loosing Item durability of course

That's a great idea Dusty. I'd never though about the possiblty of fighting the Bosses again.

I'd rape Fool and Sage every morning before I go to work...

^ CHAPTER 7, DARK [BOSS NAME]

Also yeah, combining items would be useful.
