Wow, my Magus original character (Celina) is already giving Nessiah the evil eye just based on this thought. And inching up on him, ready to beat him with a stale baguette. Normally she just reserves that treatment for Hector.

Ness-chan has understandable reasons for what he does; Hector doesn't. Oh, and Ness-chan just has problems and is annoying, whereas Hector is downright ebil. (Besides, Ness-chan is too cute to get stuck with Hector. Make Hector go with Marietta instead.) No matter what I did to piss off the gods, whether I deserved the punishment or not, I think I would be hell-bent on getting even too if they'd ripped my wings off, blinded me, kicked me out of my home, and made it impossible for me to die. And don't forget, in the end, Ness decides to trust Yggdra. I think that says a lot about his character. He has a few screws loose and he can be a royal pain, but I pity him. Whereas Hector doesn't seem to have any apparent reason for what he does. It's like he's going, "Gee, the gods are gone, I want their power now! Why? What do you mean, why? I just want it!" Therefore Nessiah > Hector. Again: Stick Hector with Marietta. We still have no clue why she turned evil either. :D Marietta: sulks ~~~ "Wheels within wheels..."

That's him deciding to trust her for now. Also, the reasons I feel sorry for him do not make him a good guy. Nessiah has a long, long way to go before he becomes "good". But neither is he absolutely pure evil. (Honestly, I doubt that there is any one character in all of YU who is entirely evil. Crazy, yes. Twisted, oh absolutely. Stupid, definitely. But not evil.) And please, if I've missed something during the six times I've played Riviera where Hector says that he wants to make the world a better place for the world's sake, point it out to me. .........
