New chapter officially get the thumbs up. Poor Nessiah really needs to straighten out what having friends means...

I am going to review on FF.net. Really. As soon as I recover my password...

BTW, the links in your profile seem broken. Clicking one just gave me a new tab with your profile page again. Dunno why...

EDIT: Shredded old post. Let's try again properly.

Just read and reviewed latest chapter. Pretty damn good. The scenes with Nessiah alone with Kylier are the best, IMO. You do a good job of showing just how intimate they are (who else would possibly discuss *ahem* 'celebrating' with an angel, fallen or no?) and establishing the boundaries of their relationship. And it was fun seeing Milanor go into total freakout mode when he saw them together, complete with total ignorance that romantically he's got nothing to worry about. And as for the Nessiah X Gulcasa X Yggdra love triangle... Interesting. Though I'm a little concerned about which corner this parallelogram you mentioned is going to hang off...

BTW, is it appropriate to post spoilers for the story itself in here? Oh, and if I had the pick the weakest point of this chapter, it would be Nessiah's vague mention of what 'those people' did, and how he nearly mentioned who he's related to, but both of those could be deliberate, so I'm not complaining.

I've written up a piece of non-fanfiction, though it's reasonably long (we're talking small novel here). I don't tend to upload things to the net very often, but I'm quite happy to pass it around for reading.

@Feral: If you read this, yes, I'm talking about that one. And I've updated it.

Ebe: I think the difference between Griffon Riders and Skeletons is the way the weapons are used. Skeletons just attempt to thump whatever they're aiming at, bludgeoning and crushing more that cutting, with the spikes just there for extra damage. Griffon Riders make a chopping motion with their weapon, and while that is somewhat of a bash, it gives the spikes an oppotunity to rip and allows them to be parried/handled mare like an axe.

I agree with the presented Swords/Axes/Spears reasoning, but as for Rods/Magic vs Bows vs Shock troops...

Rods/Magic (we'll assume they're using magic rather than just smacking the enemy) beat Shock Troops because magic can quickly eat through armour and hurt man directly. Bows beat Magic because, as I believe Ebe said, they can hit from a distance and would probably break their concentration on their spells ala DnD. Finally, shock troops beat bows because their armour is heavy enough to turn away everything but a point-blank direct hit. The same goes for an Assassin's crossbows, unless they can hide and use hit-and-run tactics, emulated by their nighttime bonus.

For one, Lina isn't a minor. She's older than Fia.

Secondly, as evidenced by the multiple endings, all the girls have some sort of attraction towards Ein by the time he 'accidentally' stumbles onto them bathing, so they may not be as angry as they could be on that account.

I'm assuming what I've heard about full voice acting in the newer version is correct. When you fight Isher, does he have a comment with his Break Out (i.e. Black-winged woman's "This shall end it - Blue Sofia!") or is it just the attack name (Straight "Fallen Crest")? If he does have a comment, do the other accursed have ones as well?

Thanks in advance.

My point exactly, Sauce. By sandpenguin's own admission him hanging around would be a suicide mission.

And of course bounty hunters retreat when they don't have a shot at their target. They're paid to bring in one person, not to take on entire jihad-driven armies with far inferior numbers and typically very little tactical advantage.

Retreating in front of a superior force is not cowardice - it's a rare condition known as 'common sense'. And having an escape route? That's having the wisdom to pick your fights well. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day.

Just a quick storyline thing, does Mizer ever actually die? Or does he keep running away? I have trouble fully depleting his moral before he skips town so I've never actually gotten a 'Slain' banner, but has anyone else seen one?

Short answer? No. Hacked or not roms are piracy, and you'll get your ass handed to you by the admins for posting links.

Mespirit with one quick ball... I got Dialga in one ultra ball after using false swipe. Oh, and I once caught Lugia in a poke'ball after running out of everything else

You. Made. Me. Cry.

I cannot believe it. I have read countless books by 'professionals' and this has never happened. But that oneshot... wow. Geez. Nothing but praise here.

And I think I know what's going on.

I just reviewed. I like what I see.

Short and sharp, but I can't think of much else to say and I want to offer all the encouragement possible.

Too hot and out of the zone... I sympathize. (I reviewed, I'm called Carnage Falcon on FF.net).

I'm suffering from a similar problem right now. I can't concentrate on anything because it's TOO - FREAKIN' - COLD! (Coldest day since records began? Global warming, my butt).

Mental note - trim down the ranting.

Main point: We can wait for the chapter. Good work is worth the wait.

Hmm... I don;t have any fanart for you to use but a Cruz one would be good to see... maybe have him able to block creatures with flying? And I agree with FlameSpark, some Riviera ones would be good to see.

Those are really good! One question, which program did you use?

I've only played through once, but with Roswell in my party I got Feral's second dialogue set. And about that backstory...

Allow me to be the first to say, WELCOME! Careful, we all bite.

Secondly, to get the art... run the ROM in an emulator (I'm sure you can find one) and use the frame-by-frame function to take screenshots of every frame you need, then use photoshop, GIMP, or a similar program to cut out the specific image and create a animated GIF, or just safe the single extracted image as its own file. Or at least, that's how I would do it.

Hope that helps.

And a full arrange soundtrack for this game would totally rock.

That's all your DEPLOYED characters. Characters who aren't on the field don't add to TREP. You can quickly check total REP on the map menu.

@ Desu: No, I didn't use Roswell Nearly enough. And thanks to a few kind MVPs, everything of Durant's is 4+ except luck, and he's got the Knight Killer still equipped from a couple of BFs ago.

Anyway, I managed to pass this one, thanks to a couple of lucky criticals and my obscenely powerful Steal card.

I'm fighting this exact battle now, except for some reason my Roswell totally sucks, but Durant is at least decent, so I'm going to try having him come at me with Revolution (second most powerful card) equipped, then countering with steal (7000+ power). Can anyone pick a major flaw?

Steal ends up so overpowered for me because of its high movement - it's ideal for jostling for position the first turn, and then the high power crushes the first wave of grunts. My other high cards are Gravity Chaos, Mind Change and Revolution, with Crusade getting close to being power-play.

EDIT: Sorry, local slang. Power-Play cards are the high-power cards used for getting rid of bosses/cannon-w****s quickly.
