As you will already have seen at my avatar, I really love chao.
In don´t think there are a lot of people still breeding chao (except me) but if you still have some on your memory cards, you may take photos of them and post them here. You can write a brief comment and their name and show them to everybody...Or not... an example: PPAChao Hero/Run This is my main chao. It won all karate and racing medals except the dark race one.  ~~~  |

Chaoooo, omg dude. I spent weeks raising chao and going back to them while playing SA2 on the Dreamcast. It was so fun, I kept trying to create a Shadow chao but failing. <3

I´m still waiting for other peoples´ chao pics. Dust off your VMUs or memory cards and start taking photos!
-----P.P.A.´s Photoshooting Guide----- First, pet your chao so a heart appears. If it doesn´t, keep petting it until it appears, because now chao will stay at its place for a few seconds. Now go away so your chao looks big in the camera (maybe you´ve got to rotate the camera by using the R- and L-triggers). If your chao didn´t wander off already, pause the game and hold down the X- and Y-buttons to make the pause menu disappear. Now you´ve all the time you need to get a good shot! ---------------------------------------  ~~~ |

I started chao breeding last weekend on my dad's PC, which is in his house. I might capture some screens when they evolve. One question, can you raise a Shadow Chao from SADX?

As Rzul said, you can evolve your chao into every evolution from SA2, but I would suggest buying Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on Gamecube if you really want to breed chao. Why? First, evolving your chao into hero or dark is much easier than in SADX. Second, finding small animals is easier, too. Third, you can buy shiny colored eggs in the black market. If you mate a shiny chao with a jewel chao from the GBA´s tiny chao garden, you get slightly transparent chao including one invisible chao-you can only see the wings, the eyes, the mouth (if available) and the halo/spike/ball. (If I can find a shiny yellow egg in my black market, I will post a pic.) Fourth, there are many more races and a super-cute karate mode but the most important feature is the kindergarten: There´s a doctor where you can see your chao´s stat grades (E-S), some other stuff and the classroom where chao can learn things like singing, drawing (they will draw things on the ground in the gardens) or playing instruments. (I´ve read that if more than one chao know how to play an instrument, they even play in a band!(In the left picture Wings is playing the maracas. I brought PPAChao who knows playing it too, I put him down...and he fell asleep!))   You can of course breed chao in SADX, but I think it´s a lot more fun in SA2B.
