I still think Sony shouldn't have revealed the price so soon...I mean, you look at all these awesome games...then you think to yourself, "Is this really worth 600$?". For people like us who are used to shelling out money like this for consoles, it's not a big deal... But for the average joe watching E3 on G4 (I am still plotting how to destroy that network), they would have seriously been surprised...

I did once...I can't remember which console it was... but I saved up all summer...or maybe it was less than that...I don't know...after what the 360 cost at launch, I've lost hope in prices this gen...

Nanashi, in your lifetime at least, there has been no other console that cost six hundred dollars. Unless you imported, or bought it modded, you are lying.

I was wondering when someone will mention the Sony E3 conference. XD Oh man, Genji 2 will be forever known for it's large enemy crabs and weak points for massive damage.

Nanashi: Nintendo Wii is going to retail at $199 US at launch apparantly.

Wasn't there a console in the early 90s that cost around $800 dollars or so?

If you're talking about the Jaguar or CD-i, those both cost $400, IIRC.
