I just watched the live stream of Nintendo's press conference. They announced ONE new real game, that being the highly predictable Animal Crossing for Wii (coming with a microphone, "Wii Speak"). Other than that, casual shit as far as the eye can see. Wii Sports Resort bundled with the WIi Motion Plus); a Wii balance board snowboarding game; Wii Music, where you randomly press buttons or waggle around to make music play, GTA CHina Town for DS, which was brielfy mentioned and then ignored again; a Star Wars Clone Wars (the cartoon) comnversion, another Raving Rabbids game, a CoD and Pokémon Rangers 2.

That's it, I'm getting a PS3 this Christmas. Fuck you, post-Wii Nintendo. Fuck you.

Do want if it's done right.

I loved that miniseries.

Oh HELL, it's off the FILM?

Screw that.

Nintendo may be dead to you, but they're not dead to the world. Even if they don't cater to the non-casualfags, there are people who will still buy Wiis, and Wiis will still sell.

I suppose they're staying afloat by going to the somewhat larger percent of the population who claims only to play video games casually. I went to the game store on Monday and couldn't find any Wii games I wanted since half of it was movie crap and the other half wasn't really my genre. Even if I can buy Manhunt, I don't really plan to play it, ever.

I wanted to try Metroid Prime: Corruption, but of course they were sold out. Stupid me, should've gotten a copy earlier...

Prime 3 is a pile of fail compared to the first one.

Seriously, if you're going to play a Prime, play the first one. I would say the second as well but I've not played very far into it.

First two Primes are on the 'Cube, by the way.

You've gotta be fucking kidding me. GTA? On a Nintendo system? Bullshit.

It's not the first GTA on a Nintendo system, according to GameFAQs.

Also, Pikmin 3 was announced.

While we're on the subject of Nintendo, according to kotaku, the Wii has surpassed the 360 in numbers of consoles sold in the US.

I meant on a system that most newcomers go to begin playing video games.

The Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advence weren't systems that newcomers would begin playing video games with?

I also meant in today's generation of systems.

The Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advence weren't systems that newcomers would begin playing video games with in their own respective generations?
