When were you install the antivirus.....probably THAT'S not an antivirus, and maybe a VIRUS itself.

Where did you get the software? If it is from somewhere illegal, that's it...

If the antivirus is normal, try remove anything which works in the background. Usually stuffs like these can be found at the taskbar below the window......if there's a ton there, expect a lot of pagefile use....

But it will still lag if your computer infected by some ass virus....Sometime the virus itself will infect the antivirus IF you didn't update the antivirus software....and that's the worst case scenario.....like an antimatter fall into the hand of a maniac....

Just don't format the computer first....we didn't want to lose a lot of data inside....

Tell me everything about your computer....when you download any malicious software, go to xxxx site, etc.....

If the antivirus is worthless, but you can't remove it, try searching for an uninstaller on the Web. Since the trouble started since you installed it, I blame the antivirus.

I doubt you're the first one who have the same problem if it's the antivirus. If so, try googling something like '(name antivirus) help uninstall'. You should get useful links with that.

You can probably fix 1 and 2 with a disk format.

Yeah...

We are trying to avoid that...

Does it say "why" you can't uninstall the anti-virus?

For number 3...

Try not to mess with the lettering of the discs. (Like using clone CD, daemon or something that add/changes the letter of the disc)

That is the only thing that comes to my mind

"Fix" and "reformat" are mutually exclusive. It's just giving up.

Virus, yep....they disable the file explorer...but from that virus, it's likely to be psw.onlinegames.nnu.trojan......NOD32 detects it as a virus, but my Trendmicro didn't detect it as a virus.

For me, when the virus infected my computer, it keeps dialing to connect to the internet, which is weird and annoying, because I remember turning off the autodial option....

Also, like you say, I can't open the disk....I opened it using Internet Explorer....I know there's a lot of useful softwares out there, but I'm too stick up with my studies....

Well that'sall that I can help for now....more infos needed...

Y'know, you wouldn't get so much computer trouble if you used the latest version of Firefox when you browse porn sites, and didn't trust any site which required you to download and/or install software.

Yep, but Megaupload requires you to download their stupid, lame toolbar to continue download from their server. But, this shouldn't be a problem in the US and Europe though...
