This is an awesome SRPG. Is there anyone else here who has played it? I haven't beaten it yet, but I remember that the last time I played, I was having fun setting the battlefield on fire because it was all grass.

Mother Russia knows how to make a good buggy turn-based strategy/RPG.

It gave me too many decisions to make, so I hacked it.

I'm a failure at playing video games D:

I played it for a while, then grew bored after a while and never finished it since I had others games I preferred.

But it is a good game.

This is a fun little game. I liked feeding the dragons and seeing them change. Because I have fail-level Japanese skills I used the fan translation to play.

As far as turn-based strategy goes I found this game to be quite easy. I find Fire Emblem games to be much more difficult.

Byuu is our hero in this game, and I recall that he never talks. Is that right? It's always classy for the hero to never talk. When the hero opens his mouth, there is way top much fail potential there. Better to keep his mouth shut. It's possible to make heroes talk AND be cool at the same time, but it's difficult, and most games fail at it.

I thought the story in the game was enjoyable. It's the classic story of the oppressed kingdom versus the evil empire, that was quite typical for the time (and still is - see FF12). Remember kids: Kingdoms are good and Empires are evil.

Do check this out. I think it's on VC in Japan, but I'm not sure.
