It was good in the beginning, with all the fighting. Then it became lame after Assassin died. Then it got good when Gil came and used one of his noble phantasms (don't know which though), then it cheesy when Caster's mouth was the size of her face, then it was sad when Caster and her Master died side by side, then it was just boring as they explained how Gil wants inside of Saber, along with spinning head effects.
Although, the last part wasn't completely boring, we found out quite a bit about the previous war, and Shirou's adoptive father.

I started watching it since it seems so popular here.

Look good so far, I've watched 2 episodes already.

The most recent episode was rather amusing for the first five or ten minutes,

when Shirou explains his plans for a date with Saber and Rin laughs her ass off for five minutes,

then it got boring and angsty,

when Shirou and Saber got into a fight and blah blah blah,

then Gil came~
The preview for the next episode looks interesting....

I'm really torn up on what I think the ending will be...

My brain tells me the ending will be the same as in the game, but my heart tells me the ending will be a new one that wasn't in the game.

The principal point of conflict is the fact that Servant can be granted a second life, which wasn't possible in the game.

So, if it is the same ending as in the game, why change that fact?

I don't know what to think anymore...

Yes, it's a possibility.

Bu then again, why bothering to make him lie in the anime if it doesn't change anything?

And so far, he hasn't lied yet. He hides some things, but he hasn't really lied yet.

I think he told the truth.

He could lie to try and break apart Shirou and Saber. He knows from the previous war that Saber WANTS the Holy Grail bad, if he can get Shirou and Saber apart, it would be significantly easier for him to take them down.

That's maybe going a little far with only 4 episodes remaining.

For now, I still think that they wouldn't have bothered to change that fact about the grail if they were going to use the same ending as in the game.

Anyway, look like we can't find the answers with what we know now. The only thing to do is to wait for the next episode.

...I hate cliffhangers.
