Yeah, I mean, it's not like breaking the lock doesn't have the very real possibility of ruining whatever is inside, and picking doesn't work so well with combination locks.

I doubt the bandits would have stole it, failed to open it and then just said : "We shouldn't try to open it by force, it could break what's inside."

At least, they would have wanted to see what could it have been.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like they might someday find out the proper way to open it. Of course, bandits can't ever portray patience.

Even though the Blunt Sword is BAD, it's not 'useless'. It's just not 'useful' either. XD But the Letter seems to be useless, no one recovers Morale from it or anything...
