I guess that determines whether you seriously believe in good and bad karma. I do, because I'm a buddhist. I get good karma from helping people and being nice, while I get bad karma when I'm being bad to people.

Karma isn't real probably, but there's something to the theory in that often times doing negative things can lead to you becoming unhappy. For example, acting like a prick can cause one to lose friends, resulting in an effect that could create the illusion of karmic retribution.
