Even though we have our own ideas on what gender's sprites are, the game says they are all females. So let's end it at that. The guys who created the game KNOWS ALL. First, you played the English version. Seth, Seth-Ra and Ursula may not have been referred to in the femine sense in the Japanese.
Second, it's often easier to refer to something as he/she instead of 'it' since there are many more forms for he/she than 'it'. Third, Seth, Seth-Ra and Ursula are not mythical creatures, they are fictional characters. Creatures implies there may be/have been more of them.
