It seems I missed the fact that the second game was out sine almost 3 weeks...

From what little I played so far, it seems better than the first. The weapon creations is far easier than in the first game, thank goodness.

If you thought the weapon creation in the first game was hard, you're considered legally retarded.

How in the world could they make it any easier?! Is it just "Okay you have the design now you can make it right away, you don't need materials!" or something else?

My fault for saying it the wrong way.

What I meant is that it's far easier to get the required material for a weapon. In the first game, I always seemed to lack one type of material for weapons.

So far, I still like the first Summon Night better. Although, I haven't gotten all that far into the game yet, so it might get better as the game progresses. Mind if I ask how long this game is compared to the original?

Also, this is apparently the game cover for the first game, where the girl is shown holding a bow. Is this purely for decorational uses, or is a bow actually available in the Japanese version of Summon Night?

... If you played the first Summon Night (Swordcraft Story series), then you would know that that is not the cover of said game.

I see. Well, I found that cover on the Internet when I was searching for info on the first Summon Night, and it was shown as the cover for the game.

And yes, I know that the main characters from the first game aren't the ones shown on the cover, but I was thinking maybe the Japanese version was a bit different.

Have completely different characters is not "a bit different."

Too much talking, oh god. The first one appears far superior, just in that you can play that game within the first fucking hour.

Seans, that is the cover for Summon Night Monogatari: Hajimari no Ishi, not Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. Summon Night: SS is the same in both America and Japan and so is Swordcraft Story 2. The girl in Hajimari no Ishi has a bow because it is available for creation just like in Swordcraft Story 2.
Hajimari no Ishi is not currently planned for an international release.
