Well my favourite is emerald (long live battle frontier), because we can caught both groundon and kyogre.
My second favourite is red/blue just because of Missingno. (oh boy i really love glitches! (and mess up the game)). |

However Gold/Silver gets my vote because of the sheer scope of the game. For me, one of the major disappointments of Ruby/Sapphire was being unable to revisit all the old areas. |
