Crystal for me. The first time they introduced animated pokemon on Gameboy! :D
The only thing I don't like about it is that there are no Mereeps...

Well my favourite is emerald (long live battle frontier), because we can caught both groundon and kyogre.

My second favourite is red/blue just because of Missingno. (oh boy i really love glitches! (and mess up the game)).

Old school for me. I loved my Blue version very dearly, beating it in about a month (Complete Pokedex), but then it erased itself...

I like Silver the most because of Totodile and Lugia's aeroblast.

Never played Emerald so is Battle Frontier that good?

Emerald.

You can get rid of Pikachu in Yellow by either putting him in a box, or trading him away. Once you tade him away, you can never have a pikachu follow you around again.

I decided to buy Emerald since I lost my Ruby cart. New favourite.

Yeah, the first ones really stand out because of their "WOW!" factor at the time.

However Gold/Silver gets my vote because of the sheer scope of the game. For me, one of the major disappointments of Ruby/Sapphire was being unable to revisit all the old areas.

I voted for red/blue. For the glitches, not for MissingNo but for Glitch City.

Red/Blue Glitch City > MissingoNO. > Mew glitch > "M". Order of favorite glitches.

Red and Gold version. Getting to Lugia was a pain though...like with most other legendary birds...

No bird is as hard to get to as Lugia in GS.
