Does anyone know if there are any videos of a Riviera speedrun in the web ? I already checked NESvideos and Speed Demos Archive but I didn´t find anything. But if you only trigger objects that are important
for finishing a stage you could speed through the game in no time , I think... |

That would still be a length measured in hours, and if you try speeding through the game you'll eventually become too weak for it to be a speed run.
I have no clue if it's possible, but even if it is, it'd be incredibly hard. |

The "speedrun taking hours" is not a problem-on speed demos archive I once saw a 3:35:xx-speedrun of Lunar:the siver star story.
But I already thought about that thing with the weakness. That´s a serious problem... |

My first run was pretty fast, and even there, I had a lot of trouble defeating the bosses because my characters were so horrendously underleveled.

A speed run on this game is virtually impossible without a cheating device, because it doesn't have a natural level up process, thus forcing you to "practice" in order to proceed...

You don't have to practice to play the game. You can train during normal battles.
