Ugh, seeing a live-action Riviera would bother me too much. I don't see a too much of a problem with a OVA with a set ending, other then the anime team messing up the basic storyline or trying to add an abundance of fanservice.
Then again, there's all ready quite a number of harem anime, and there's not too much to separate Riviera from the rest. Yeah, it'd appeal to the fans (or some of them at least), but probably not enough to make it profitable venture. And as much as I'd like to see a Riviera anime, I'd hate to see a low-quality attempt (I'm looking at you, Disgaea).

It should be an interactive anime-type movie. Like a choose your own fate book? Except, like, you watch up until a really pivotal decision, then you get to decide what Ein or the others do.
Obviously, they'd have to change some elements of the game to put it to a movie, but I'd get it...unless it's fan-made, cuz those tend to be crappy.
Oh, and to answer to the game sales, they haven't made an official movie of Ocarina of Time or any of the other Zelda games, so I don't think it's so much the sales. Although, they did do a couple of Final Fantasy movies...
