Inti Creates changed the formula from "Get new weapons and use them on the right bosses" to "Charge up saber, dodge attack, attack, repeat". That's not to say I don't think the Zero series is great; I own all of the games, but they will always remain inferior in my mind.

You realise Saber combos do more than charged hits unless you have the weakness chips right?

You can easily beat every Zero game without charging once, especially 4 where you can just abuse the Knuckles.

Anyway, half of what makes Zero series so great is the fact it's concluded. It had a much darker and more serious atmosphere to the rest of the MM games, and has a true conclusion and a plotline THAT MAKES ACTUAL SENSE.

If you didn't think the final battles of MMZ4 were plain kickass you don't deserve to be playing MegaMan games.

Check the end of the trailer.

XBLA, and PSN logos.

It's confirmed.

FUCK YES.

1/4th through the games you will have the element chips. And most bosses are difficult to combo without being hurt.

Maybe the plot DID have a conclusion, but you can not deny the numerous cheap plot devices, or the simple fact

*SPOILERS for Zero 3+4*

that Zero can survive an atomic bomb exploding in his face but has no chance of survival in a plummeting space craft.

*End spoilers*

The Zero games were too short and too shallow for that age. But it seems that what you appreciate is how they are purely hardcore. For me, it's not worth my money. Maybe my time, but not my money.

You suck at using the spoiler tag.

Only if you A rank I'm fairly certain. And in 4 you have to make them yourself.

No, that's you just being terrible at the game. Nearly all the bosses have significant openings except in the very first game, but Zero has a ton more Z Saber skills in that to make up for it.

Better than any other Megaman plot. It had a nice atmosphere to it too, and was pretty serious and easy to take seriously compared to the other games.

As for Zero surviving, I have no idea what you mean by the bomb. Unless you're reffering to X6 which is retcon anyway.

@Yuka: I know.

@Irysa: The bomb in Zero 3. It was in that mission you get after you beat the 1st 4 bosses I think.

Oh THAT bomb.

I don't know. I don't remember it being called Atomic. And it wasn't from space. And Zero wasn't banged up from killing Weil.

Well it destroyed that whole city, so it definitely has that kind of power. And by space craft I mean Ragnarok.
