Revival, bitches! Anyway, the next installment of the ZX series is going to be released stateside soon, and to those of you who still play the blue bomber games, it's sure to be a treat. http://www.capcom.co.jp/rockman_zxa/index2.html» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Apparently, it's 10 years after the first ZX game, and Vent and Aile are no longer the main characters. The new leads are Grey- a 14-year old failed experiment just released from stasis, and Ashe- a 15-year old member of Legions, which is now the group that protects the Earth, because the Guardians gave up or something. Returning are the Biometals- strange metal(obviously...)that have the so-called "souls" of past legendary heroes and antagonists alike. Both main characters use a new Biometal that's based on Axl- latecomer in the Megaman X series. The respectve Biometal is therefore aptly named, Model A.
Also making a return are the Biometals based on the X Guardians of the X series, though they are actually held by characters who can use their power, instead of the Psuedoroids this time around, so you'll actually have to make a effort to fight effectively, if you don't want to damage the biometal. The returning Biometals are HX, PX, LX and FX; with the same shitty touchscreen abilities, though they do have badass new looks. Models X, ZX, and Special OX are seemingly not returning. Because of that, there are at least 5 more biometals that can be obtained. Also, because many fans disliked that you had to stop gameplay to change biometals in the previous game, Capcom has decided to shift that process to the touchscreen, that way the changing of biometals in seemless and shorter.
For those of you who actually played Megaman X7 and X8, you'd know that Axl had the ability to change form with his Copy Shot. According to reports and screenshots, Model A will imbue that ability in Grey and Ashe, allowing you to transform into any of the 8 new Pseudoroids, provided that you've defeated them. This replaces the longtime tradition of recieving the boss's weapon once you've defeated them.
Because that tradition has been evidently omitted from all future Megaman games, Capcom has decided to add a new way of fighting bosses. You have to use certain tactics against the Pseudoroids to get special items that affect the gamepaly somehow. Certain tactics probably include using the buster attack of a certain biometal to finish off bosses, or using only one weapon/biometal.
In addition to new Pseudoroids, Serpent's lackies from ZX, Prometheus and Pandora are returning as the primary antagonists. Vent and Aile are also retuning as supporting characters, although they've both changed quite a bit from the previous game. Supposedly, it'll be a greater game than the first. Let's certainly hope so.

Meh. Zero series was big waste of time, in my opinion. Not to say it's bad, but I wouldn't pay more than 10$ for any of them. Zx, pretty good. Yeah, X was good until 5, got better at 8. MM9 going back to the NES style? Awesome. Plus being on WiiWare means it'll be cheap.
I have high hopes for it.
Oh, and by the way, regarding a ZX commercial I saw (not sure if it was Greifer's, but his post doesn't have a link anyway), Vent and Aile are doing stuff together. I thought that if you chose Vent, Aile does not exist, and vice versa.

Somewhere around $20? Not. Even. Close. No, Capcom are feeling charitable this month, and have announced that when the WiiWare game goes on sale in September, it'll go for 1000 Wii Points. Or, in human money, $10. Outstanding." FUCK YES CAPCOM. Also, it's hitting PSN and XBLA as well, so it's not Wii exclusive~ http://kotaku.com/397414/mega-man-9-coming...bla-psn-as-wellQUOTE Meh. Inticreates was the best thing to happen to the series in years. This post has been edited by Irysa: Jul 9 2008, 07:16 AM

Edit: Megaman Zero is not a waste of time... and why do you say it? This post has been edited by Knightman: Jul 9 2008, 11:37 AM
