I don't think they're related. Having played a little, they're like... sister games. They're related in style and mechanics, but they're completely different storylines and characters. XD

I believe teru said that the page said it was by the same team, but not related otherwise.

Yggdra isn't twisting her body to achieve her stance. Well, not as much as Fia. And Fia's sword is pointed downward.
