Yeah, there's even a rule about. They said that you can't say certain words like desu because they don't like the japanlish. Which is a reasonable reques since this is an english site.
Although in this case I think it's somewhat acceptable since it is talking about the japanese voice actors.

Actually, nobody cares if Japanese is clearly used in a humorous or fitting manner. It's when people actually use it for the sake of using it because they think it makes them sound more Japanese or some retarded shit.

When you see us screaming engrish catchphrases around and shit it's not that hard to figure out.

Not many people are that extreme. Sauce might be, but most people draw the line at honorifics, and using Japanese terms in place of common English words. I once used "seiyuu" and "voice actor" in the same conversation to differentiate between Japanese and English voice actors.

There's no necessity in communication to use Japanese words the way "other forums" do. As well, to say that it's stupid for us to ostracize people for doing something that has existed on other forums is like saying that we should be able to kick cats because some countries don't have laws against that.

And stop being so dramatic. Where did anyone throw eggs on you for something that happened "nearly a year ago"?

Also, if using Japanese is dropping a nuke, then typing "u" for "you" must be going back in time and killing everyone's ancestors, because people may be chided for using Japanese, but it's nowhere near as severe a reaction as laziness in typing. We just get more of the first kind, and that kind is usually more self-asserted, which leads to larger arguments.

Think of it this way. If you come in to the chat, I would still play games with you, but I would not do the same with Crimson.

Maybe I just don't get the whole thing since it doesn't bug me even if people type in 'chat speak'. Well it bugs me a little but not to the point I don't talk to them or anything. I just shrug it off.

And well there was the whole "racist" thing in the locked YU thread... That annoyed me greatly just because I prefer japanese to english. Not like I said japanese is inheritantly better, I just preferred it more.

Anyway I'll shut up now. I've calmed down a bit more and realized being a mini-troll is probably not a good way to uh... Do things.

Well, I'm on the neutral point on this case. I know you used more japanese 'terms' in your post Suzu, and I'm not even mad at it. But just a point though, try to respect the site's rules and stuffs, albeit a little bit alien to the standards of other forum sites.

Good point you have there too, Rai. Using different words who have similar meanings to tell your friends stuffs in this or that is more....well, good.

For those who still remembers the last year fight (Whoa, good mental memory you have there) cool down, there's nothing that can be done. Lest in this site though, but it has been sort of a 'culture' in the net for years....so, learn to live with it.

Well, that's my point for this little rantlings about "seiyuu-voice actor?" debate. Much like fighting for the real shape of an apple, really. *_*
