A girl asked me to go with her to an otaku convention today. I just went to get some points with her, but I must say that she was NOT what I expected. Personality-wise, I mean. The convention was actually really shitty, so I was really pissed for going (I FUCKING MISSED THE FINAL OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOR THAT).
I really wanted to get the fuck out of there, but she said "wait, there's a raffle in about five minutes". I stayed just for the hell of it, and actually won two mangas (Baljak 1 and Fushigi Yu Gi 2). I loved how every number drawn was 100 or higher, and everybody started raging when the only number with two digits to win was mine. FUCK YEAH 24.

So yeah, at least it had a happy ending. I was getting ready to kick some throats there.

So I moved.

I couldn't take living with my shitty roommates any longer. 3 times in the last 5 months, either the phone or water was shut off.

To top it off I'm apparently one of the few computer-savvy members. This is really bad.

The plus side of fashion school is that I'm apparently better at math than most of the student body. Which doesn't actually say much, but then again the math class is a) GE and b) a joke. LOL BASIC MATHS WITH FRACTIONS

So HOLY CRAP I just found out today that two of my friends are now going out as of last night. She put him in a bit of an awkward situation when she told him she liked him, and he's still healing from a past relationship, but they talked and I think they can work it out...

I've gone though that kinda thing. My two best friends started dating last year. I can't tell you how many fights I've been in since then. I've had to beat the shit ( or try D:) out of many assholes who have a problem with my friends dating.

It just angers me that even in this day and age, people just can't get used to two men dating.

Yeah, I heard a real cool story. New pastor introduces himself at choich and talks about how he had these two lesbian neighbors. They're all defensive and such but he was totally nice to them and offered to mowed their lawn and stuff for free.

Later on one of them got a motorcycle and offered to let him ride it whenever. I was like, awesome. It's saddening to see that Christianity/religion can be so known for it's persecution and hatred when it's supposed to be about love and such (BUT THIS IS ALL OFFTOPIC AMIRITE)

tl;dr I'm totally tolerant of people/friends that feel that way. It's what they want, and I really have no right to bother them about it.

I actually escaped elementary school math hell by virtue of getting 100% on the placement test before the quarter started and being exempted, but the math is a joke. And so is the mathematical ability of quite a few of my fellow students, which is pretty bad because I don't even like math. :V I calculated the cost of printing 18 pages in color for $0.50 a page (expensive library printing is expensive :<) in my head and my group members thought I was wrong.

And then seven minutes later at the counter they realized that I had been right. I facepalmed.

Group project is for History of Costume--pick two historical garments (and yes, the museum has several wardrobes' worth of vintage clothes in storage, it's a little crazy) come up with history of the time periods they're from, as well as the history of the garments themselves (as indicated on the tags with which they were labeled) and then design a line of 6 pieces per garment that clearly incorporate influences and motifs from the historical garment in question. i.e. the kind of group project one only gets in fashion school. Unfortunately we have no particular organization and although we got most of the group together for last minute revisions before the rough Powerpoint was due (sixth party member was afflicted with Sleep and a dead cell phone so we found her more or less conked out in the classroom afterward) it was mostly by virtue of my panicking and sending out a mass text.

We should definitely chat more. Maybe on Skype or something. XDD And thank you. :D
