All I can say is that I think you're too focused on being "perfectly moral" to the point that you're not even really happy at all. But that's not something you're just told and you understand. A good analogy is mathematics. I can tell you how to solve an equation, but that means jack if you don't know WHY it works.

QUOTE(PPA)
As soon as I feel spite for that person, even if I don't voice it and still remain respectful and polite (as I always do anyway), it is a crime I myself is committing
Are committing. And I feel that way too.
QUOTE(PPA)
In the absolutely worst cases I also upon reflection was shocked to discover that I had been trying to make myself happy through the happiness of others.
Why is this bad?
QUOTE(PPA)
... realising that I long for things I do not deserve...
"Deserve" is a tricky idea. How can you say that you deserve this but not that?

There's a deep moral issue there.

Well, uh, of course. What else? I couldn't be happy if I would at the same time be immoral, so avoiding the latter definitely has a higher priority than being happy or something.

Sorry.

QUOTE
Why is this bad?
Because I consider selfishness to be the origin of all suffering brought upon the world by humanity. Many things like the poverty in the third world, all oppression of people and nations, or wars ultimately can be traced back to one or more people living out their greed.

Well, I... I don't know actually. :(

BUT THERE WAS NO GOOOAAAL
GMOD NEEDS A DEFINED GOAL
Still I admit it was rather entertaining regardless. Also I now want a Mauser Kar98k with scope.

Happy German reunifiation day by the way. Let's hope all the money we pumped in the East wasn't wasted. >_>

The goal of GMOD is to be stupid or inventive, really. One time we made a catapult. Another time we rode nukes.

You can also play some of the other games you may have with GMOD. For example, you can play Half Life 2 with WWII weapons. Or Nukes.

<3 Nukes.

So my mother was out over noon and I used this chance to cook for myself (and my father).
Turns out I can still do this! I made a small meal of boiled potatoes and carrots along with a simple salad of cucumber and Capsicum/pepper flavoured with some scallion. The warm part turned out not bad with both ingredients having just the right consistence, and while the salad was a bit too dry as I made too few dressing which also lacked a strong flavour it as enough to bear a subtle taste.
All in all I took a bit too long though. Around an hour in total, although I as already done with the salad after about half an hour yet unwisely didn't already start to boil the potatoes and carrots, leading to me still having to wait for another half for them to be done. Next time I'll be quicker.
Comforting to see that I am still able to do this after a break of a few years since I last prepared some food.

Yesterday after playing 2 hours of ultimate frisbee I felt sore and exhausted. I came back, felt depressed all of a sudden, head-butted my hallmate in the face, took a shower and napped, went to Homecoming dance, returned and watched Gladiator.

My hallmate is cool with it.

Stayed up until 5AM playing D&D and Hearts. While it was awesome and everything, I just woke up and now I'm somewhat regretting it because I feel like my entire day is gone. :(

I'm going to bed early tonight.

Also I have a midterm on Monday so I'm planning a study session with my friend. In all honesty, we'll probably only spend about half the time studying and the rest talking about D&D or playing Phoenix Wright. XD

God I can't wait until this time next week. THEN IT WILL ALL BE OVER.

I woke up today feeling oddly relaxed. I didn't get any more or less sleep then I normally do. I just feel at peace for some reason. I felt like I could run 5 miles :/

...

I didn't run 5 miles however.

Gave my first tours today for Pharmacy Campus, did an okay job for the most part, but I messed up some of my words and wasn't paying attention at one point so when the other tour guides looked at me to finish the explanation of a building at one point I forgot what we were talking about and froze >_>

It was an awkward 5-10 seconds before someone picked it up again.

It was surprisingly fun though, I actually enjoyed it a lot.

I used to live next to an old lady who played PS1 and N64 games... I don't know if she's still alive or not though.
