I actually have a midterm today (in and hour and a half) and at least one more coming up in a couple of weeks. Let's both do well!

History of Math was hilarious today. We studied the Greek and Chinese numeral systems. The Chinese numeral handout was a fucking troll page. First, the chinese numeral system is a pain in the ass to write quickly because of the special symbols. Next was the worksheet itself. #3: Write all of the prime numbers under 100 using the chinese numeral system. We do these in class, so we were wondering what the fuck that was about. I made a sieve and wrote the primes up on the board because I seriously doubt people memorize that by heart. Hand almost cramped up doing all of that bullshit. Next was #4, which was probably the funniest. It asked us to write the year in all of the numeral systems we know so far from the course. One of them was the tally mark system.

We were making some light jokes about some of the systems in general. Like because the chinese one was such a pain in the ass, that the chinese tortured prisoners by making them bankers. The greek handout for some reason omitted 6, 90 and 900 because of outdated symbols (another handout reinstated them), but until then we made the joke that if you sent 999 men into war, they would send 110 back.
